1. Cancellations

Cancellation Within 45 Days Prior to Departure

  • Cancellation requests submitted less than 45 days before the start of the trip will incur an administrative fee of US$ 35.00 per person.
  • Important: Tickets to archaeological sites are strictly non-refundable under any circumstance, as per the policies of the Ministry of Culture. The following penalties apply:
    • Wayna Picchu: US$ 55.00
    • Machu Picchu Mountain: US$ 55.00
    • Machu Picchu Citadel: US$ 45.00
  • Train tickets are subject to an additional penalty of 20% of the original value, in accordance with the refund policies of INCA RAIL and PERU RAIL.
  • Hotel reservations are governed by the internal policies of each establishment. Therefore, any cancellation will be processed according to the terms and conditions of the selected hotel.
  • Airline bookings are governed by each airline’s internal policies. Therefore, any cancellation will be managed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the selected airline.

Last-Minute Cancellation – Within 72 Hours

  • Cancellations received less than 72 hours before the trip will be subject to a 100% penalty.

Special Case: Inca Trail

  • Once the Inca Trail reservation is confirmed, no refunds will be granted under any circumstance due to the exclusive and non-transferable nature of the activity.

2. Refunds

The refund process is subject to the policies established by third-party providers involved in the delivery of tourism services (hotels, trains, entry tickets, and flights). Estimated timelines and procedures are detailed below:

  • Trains: Refund requests must be handled directly at the offices of the operating companies (INCA RAIL and PERU RAIL). The estimated processing time is approximately 20 business days.
  • Important: Tickets to archaeological sites are strictly non-refundable due to Ministry of Culture regulations. The following penalties apply:
    • Wayna Picchu: US$ 55.00
    • Machu Picchu Mountain: US$ 55.00
    • Machu Picchu Citadel: US$ 45.00
  • Hotels and Flights: Refunds will be subject to each provider’s internal policies. The agency will act as an intermediary to facilitate the process.

Method of Refund

  • All refunds will be issued via the original method of payment.
  • For credit cards and bank transfers, the estimated refund accreditation time is 15 business days, depending on the financial institution involved.

3. DATE CHANGES

DATE CHANGE WITH MORE THAN 30 DAYS’ NOTIC

  • Requests for date changes submitted at least 30 days prior to the scheduled trip, or within 5 days after confirmation of the service, will incur an operational handling fee of US$ 00.00 per person.
  • Important: Tickets to archaeological sites cannot be modified under any circumstances, due to policies established by the Ministry of Culture. The following penalties apply:
    • Wayna Picchu: US$ 55.00
    • Montaña Machu Picchu: US$ 55.00
    • Ciudadela de Machu Picchu: US$ 45.00
  • Train tickets are subject to an additional 10% penalty on the original value, according to the policies of INCA RAIL and PERU RAIL.
  • Changes to hotel bookings will be managed in accordance with each establishment’s internal policies.
  • Flight reservations are governed by the internal policies of each airline. Any date change request will be processed according to the terms and conditions in effect from the selected airline provider. Once the change is confirmed, the updated fare will be sent to the customer, including any applicable penalty or fare difference in accordance with the airline’s policy.

SPECIAL CASE: INCA TRAIL

  • In the event of a date change request for the Inca Trail service, such change will be subject to availability and incur a penalty of US$ 120.00 per person.

4. PRICING AND FEES

  • All tour prices and fees are quoted in United States Dollars (USD).
  • Prices may vary during peak seasons and holidays such as Easter, Christmas, and New Year’s. Any adjustment will be communicated in advance by an authorized company representative.
  • Tour package rates are listed per person, based on double occupancy in standard rooms. They include specified services, transportation, excursions, professional guides, and entrance tickets unless otherwise stated.
  • Rates do not include additional expenses such as tips, airport taxes, airfare, excess baggage, or other services not specified in the program.
  • If the personal information provided by the customer for the reservation is incorrect, or if updates or modifications (e.g., passport details) are required, the agency must be notified immediately via email. The agency will proceed to make the necessary changes. These modifications may incur penalties as determined by service providers, and such costs shall be borne entirely by the customer.

5. VISA, DOCUMENTATION, PERMITS, AND INSURANCE

  • By contracting the services of CuscoPeru.com, each client agrees to independently manage all valid documents and permits required to carry out the scheduled itinerary activities without interruption. During excursions, clients must carry the personal documents provided at the time of booking.
  • Upon engaging the company’s services, the client authorizes a designated representative to make copies of personal documents (passport, ID card, national ID, etc.) for accounting and administrative purposes only. The company guarantees the confidential handling and secure storage of such data in accordance with current personal data protection regulations.
  • In compliance with Peruvian law, tourists may not remain in the country for more than 60 days, as established by the Andean Migration Card (TAM). If this period is exceeded, the foreign client shall be responsible for paying the General Sales Tax (IGV), which is an additional 18% of the total value of the tour.

6. ITINERARIES

  • Itineraries are carefully designed to offer an organized and enriching travel experience. However, for operational reasons, it may be necessary to modify the order of activities or the originally proposed route. Therefore, the itinerary should be considered for reference purposes only.
  • CuscoPeru.com reserves the right to alter the sequence or content of excursions without prior notice due to external factors such as weather conditions, river levels, or changes in arrival/departure schedules of flights, buses, or trains. Such modifications will prioritize client safety, well-being, and the proper execution of the travel experience.
  • In situations where itinerary activities are rescheduled, altered, or canceled due to circumstances beyond the company’s control—including flight delays, adverse weather conditions, roadblocks, social unrest, or other unforeseen events—CuscoPeru.com shall not be held liable for incomplete services and is not obligated to provide refunds or financial compensation for resulting inconveniences.

7. Reservations

  • To confirm a reservation, CuscoPeru.com requires payment of 40% of the total tour package using authorized payment methods provided by the assigned sales agent. The remaining 60% must be paid in cash upon arrival in Cusco, in U.S. dollars, directly to designated personnel.
  • Each passenger must provide the following personal information: full name, passport number, nationality, date of birth, and gender. It is also recommended to inform the agency of any allergies, medical conditions, special needs, or dietary preferences in order to customize and enhance the travel experience.
  • Once the initial payment has been made, the sales agent will send an official reservation confirmation via email. This document shall serve as the client’s booking guarantee. The client must carefully review the contents of the email and confirm receipt by replying to it.
  • If the reservation includes accommodations, hotel confirmation will be subject to availability. If the indicated hotel is fully booked, a hotel of equivalent category and price will be provided to ensure a quality experience.
  • CuscoPeru.com may accept last-minute bookings (up to 24 hours prior to arrival). Such bookings will be subject to special conditions, including possible time restrictions or operational constraints, which will be agreed upon with the client in advance and documented via email.

8. PAYMENT METHODS

To enhance client convenience, CuscoPeru.com offers a variety of payment options, as outlined below:

  • Credit or Debit Card
    Through our secure SSL platform at www.cuscoperu.com/payment, all major cards are accepted. A 5% surcharge applies due to international banking fees and secure gateway usage.
  • Western Union
    Clients may send advance payments after coordinating with our sales representative via info@cuscoperu.com. Upon sending, it is essential to provide the MTCN tracking code to validate the transaction.
  • PayPal
